Movie review.

Hello guys, so the main reason why im blogging is because i have this sudden urge to blog. Secondly i just wanted to do another movie review, this time it's My one and only and i watched them in Star Movies.

First off, this movie is about a teenage boy living in the 1950s recounting his journey from New York to California, specifically Hollywood with his mother and older brother and along the way they encountered challenges and heartaches. I personally like the plot very much, it's simple and original though predictable at times, ye itt engages me to actually sit through everything and pretty much watch the whole thing. Im not really a fan of Renee Zelwegger partly because i am not very familiar with her work but she did a great job in playing a witty, independent-ish woman and a mother who knows nothing about her child. sad, but it's really entertaining to watch how she discovers a lot about her sons from their road trip.
Im going to have to admit that im not an expert in American culture particularly before my time but she did a great job is portraying a women in the 50's.
The movie has this sombre feeling to it but it didn't affect you emotionally, maybe because of the way the movie was shot but idk. The movie was abit slow but ironically the story progresses rapidly, i just don't feel bored watching it, it's a good 'feel good movie' in a sense that at the end of the movie you had  a positive experience of watching it. Apart from that, this movie eventhough it's told from the perspective of a teenage boy but at the same time it also has that feeling of romance and glamour. Then again, America in the 50's is uber glamorous.
Don't they? I'll leave you non-existent readers with that.

Tradition.

Tradition, according to dictionary.com means the handing down of statements, beliefs, legends, customs, information, etc., from generation to generation, esp. by word of mouth or by practice. But what does it really mean? Im here not to talk about the Bruneian tradtion, oh no, non of those please. For me tradition means the customs or things we do with our family and friends, something we love to do with them. It has come to my realization that me and my group of friends have a tradition of our own. Nothing like those you see on TV though or in movies where we would have movie nights and such. What's our tradition? Lunch and dinner out. Yes it's our little thing, unlike many teenagers these days that would rather walk around the mall or watch a movie we actually have dinner. We chat during dinner, we get to know ourselves even more while enjoying a lovely meal, we would eat and then we would spend hours on end talking, cracking jokes, laughing and the occasional birthday surprises. I personally enjoy these kind of things, it's so..New York for the lack of any other better examples. Another reason as to why i love it is because we spent our dinner in a real restaurant, with real food not some crappy fast food or anything like that and we don't usually eat at the same place twice, we like to experiment. Me and my friends, we love food. While watching a movie or going to the arcade may be fun but we didn't get to talk or laugh or all those things we could do after a great dinner.
I love my friends, and cheers to another hundreds more dinner and lunch out. Bah bila lagi dinner out ani? haha aku menunggu udah ni, andang pilih tah restaurant mana oii! inda lagi payah memirkirkan nanti.

Welcome back to school.

School started sooner than i would have wanted but i know for sure that i had fun during the holidays. What with all the trips and the parties but all of those need to be left behind seeing that i need to get my head in the game. It's the A-levels we
re talking about here. I am inspired to become a lawyer or atleast for now so in order for me to get that that point i need to start now. This year may make or break me, it's the catalyst of what may be a life long and dream fulfilled career. Excuse me for my terrible grammar but im not here to teach myself proper english, i'll leave that to Miss Nourse. At this point i don't really know what to talk about other that a good welcome back to the first day of school, i went out this afternoon with my friends, i know it sounds crazy seeing that it's the first day of school. Till then bye.

Happy New year 2011.

The title pretty much sums up what i am about to say, Happy new year to you all and i hope last years mistakes are sorted out and all the bad things are left behind. Lets open a new chapter in our life and start scribbling down those memories. Look at how cheesy i am but i don't care. This year im faced with what may be the biggest obstacle i'll have to overcome in my educational career and that is the A-levels. Enough about school. Lets start our New year with a positive kick, surround ourselves with family and friends and hope for the best that our relationship with them don't just pass by like 2010. Traditions should be carried on with the people in our life or better yet, start a new one. Make more friends and surround ourselves with positivity. Ok.
I've never summed up the previous years of my life into one word or determine it as a good or bad year because i've lived through alot of things, the good-the bad and the plain insane. So why sum it up into one if you've done a gazillion of other things? So im going to just leave you with that cause I wouldn't want you, my non-existance reader to miss out on your new years celebration with your family so run along now. With that i would like to say Selamat tinggal to 2010 and hello 2011.
