Post no. 61

Hello

Lets cut to the chase, we all know that the results haven't yet come out today. I'm not really surprised nor am i disappointed. I mean this is exactly what i have expected. Let me quote what my friend Boon said wrote as his facebook status "..How inefficient can MOE be?..Bloody hell..They work so slowly.."

Okay what i really wanted to say here is that, "I have absolutely nothing to blog about". You see, this phenomenon is what you would commonly see in the blogosphere these days. The question is why blog if you have nothing to blog about? To be honest i find this quiet ironic. We all do. I think. It's just a waste of precious space on the internet. I might be caught red handed in the future for doing this, or maybe i am found guilty of doing this already. But whattheheck im in it for the fun. I sound rather hypocrite for a second there.

But hey it beats talking about the Jonas brothers being  no longer relevant. Well i am no fan of them nor do i have anything against them, heck i listen to most of their song. Jonas brother is officially irrelevant? well not oficially. Well from what i've read the Jonas brothers are breaking up, typical of boy bands really. And so their pursuing their own careers like Nick with his own band, Joe with his solo career or something and Kevin with his regrettable investment. his so called "wife". Whatever.

Traditional food.

What's hello in malay?

I didn't do much today, i spent half of the day sleeping away my youth, dreaming of, wait, actually i have no dream this afternoon.

But what im really here to talk about is what im currently snacking on, it's this traditional malay dessert or cracker i don't really know. It's called Kuih Lidah i know it sounds weird but this traditional delicacy is actually scrumptious, i give you that much. I don't ever recall eating them but maybe i have had this before but i just forgot about it. My aunt gave us this sugary treats, i think she made them. My mom also bought it cause it was good. As we all know, i am quiet the foodie, especially if we're talking about desserts. I know some of you might have not even heard of this or some are just too snobby to care about traditional Bruneian delicacy. I mean yea i might not be the poster child for traditional food cause i myself are not 100% into malay food but atleast i don't ignore them or even worse, disgusted by them like some of you might be, im not pointing fingers at anybody. It's safe to say that i have had encounters with these kind of people. It's healthy for us malay, (pure, half, partly or ngakun-ngakun non-malay) to try them. Like they say, What you don't know may surprise you. I mean it's not gonna hurt to try what our ancestors have given us. After all, these traditional food stands the task of time, how many of the modern food get pass 2 years or maybe even 3?. Okay i think that;s enough about traditional food, but all im asking is, don't ignore our traditional food.

Below is the traditional food im talking about, i took this picture from the internet, so what im actually eating has a different texture to it than that on the image. Still it's the same thing.
I think.
Kuih Lidah

Fact of the day
The world record for the number of body piercing on one individual is 702, which is held by Canadian Brent Moffat.

Note: I saw the picture of this dude and i don't think i would want it to be on my blog, so if you want to see him just google his name, they have plenty.

All grown up.

I want to sound more casual so, Hey!

Today i woke up really early, around 5 or so. I didn't get much sleep last night, cause i wasn't able to. Plus im busy watching Ugly Betty on youtube, something about a smart girl in braces and red glasses turns me on, before you get the wrong idea of what i was saying, i just wanted to tell you that was a joke.

Well i wouldn't dream of waking up super early in the morning during my holidays, but my mom forced me too because she wants  me to tag along with my grandmum to the hospital. Why you ask, well my grandmum goes to the hospital every morning for the past 2 weeks cause my grandfather is not feeling well after his eye surgery and some other operations. So when the doctors came to check up on him and the doctor needs to go through some details about his next operation, mind you the doctor was Indian and didn't speak a spit of malay, so i was the one who have to discuss the matter with the doctor, and i was grateful to Allah that his english was fluent and i can understand what he was saying. I was very diplomatic about it. Who knew huh? my grandmum was so proud of me.

And around 10 or so i went to pay the Astro and broadband bills, while my grandmum is buying top-up cards for our business. And again i am able to test my 'diplomatic skills' since my dad wanted me to complain about some of our astro channels not working. That was the first time i paid the bills by myself. Thanks to my mom for giving me the tricks of the tray.

Today i did good, i think im growing up and im learning something new, hence the title. I mean, might as well do something useful than just sit on my ass all day long doing nothing or wandering around aimlessly and wasting my money on something i don't need. Oh did i mention, the results didn't came out today, what a waste of my time and not to mention my "freaking out"

food for thought.
Speaking or writing english are 2 different things.
Fluently speaking it is a major plus. And writing english is equally astonishing.
the question is which do you think is of a greater asset, speaking english or writing them?
and do you think that fluently speaking english can be learned or are you suppose to born with the talent?
Think about it~

Post no. 58

Bah silakantah!

Im feeling emo today. Well actually i don;t know what im feeling right now. At times i feel happy and all of a sudden im down by the dumpsters, next thing you know i feel just like i want to cry and at some point i even laugh at random things. Like my bestfriend Halimin said,  "mireng udah utak bilang urang ni Mah, jangantah kau ingau aku ia jua ni" I personally am not arguing with that, cause i think i am going nuts. Whatever happened to me? i use to be young, wild and crazy. Well i am still young.

And just to let you readers know, Vanessa Carlton-We're in heaven is currently playing on my iPod, on repeat i might add. Yes i am THAT emo. I don't even feel like singing today, which is very very very weird, I thought this day would never come, but nevertheless we have to face the music, If your really that cluesless If you still don't know what the hell am i talking about well Im talking about my o-level resutls. I worry too much, i mean how can you not be? This is the future we're talking about. This can make or break you. I mean what if i didn't preform well on my exam, what if i didn't make it to form 6 this year. These are some of the things that has been bugging me all day. I just can't stop thinking about it. They say that im fine cause i already have 2 o's. But what good it is to me if it's only 2? And some would say, if you are able to answer the questions im sure you'll be fine. Are you sure about that? i mean people can hantam you know.  Who are they you ask? well, my friends, cousins and my parents.

I think i should be going now. It's inappropriate and selfish of me to make you guys worry. But i think i can handle it, im fine.

Blah!!

Hello!
I would advise you that if you are offended by the usage of vulgar language or
any degrading contents it is advised that you should leave
immediately or ignore reading THIS particular post but if you are not offended then get cozy under your blanket
with a cup of hot chocolate or any refreshments of your choice
and let me take you on a journey like never before.

Your journey starts here..
Plaui kali bari kan menyumpah wah!! why you ask? well let me tell you why, first of all the bloody internet is sooo friggin slow, i have to like refresh my page multiple times, un-bee-lee-va-bal! and i waited almost 2 hours just to let a 4 minute video on youtube to load. That's just plain stupid. Gosh what else? oh yeah it took me a big, fat, ugly 8 times for me to try to sign in to my blogger because whenever i tried doing that this is what happen.

And now im currently in my study room, which is a little creepy, well alot, cause it has this huge glass sliding doors facing the woods. So yeah you figure it out, plus it is pretty hot since the air conditioner stopped working since ages ago. But nevertheless the connection is a bit better compared to my bedroom. I rarely had this problem when i was in my old bedroom. It's very convenient for me to just sit and blog and after im finish i can just close them put it next to me so the next morning i woke up i can just do my shit on the internet. you know, facebook, youtube dan wilayah persekutuanya.

Okay im off to bed now, tomorrow is a new day. plus u just cant wait to see their statuses tomorrow morning. Why? your just gonna have to see it yourself.

Privatised blog.

Hello.

Privatized blog are for the private eyes to see™. This made me think, first of all, Why on earth would you put yourself (in a form of writing) on the internet when you know that billions of people are going to lay their eyes on your writing and read them? secondly is it a good or bad?. Why would you make a blog for the world to see but still privatize them?.Some may say it's personal, some say security etcetera etcetera etcetera. Pro's and con's of privatizing your blog.

Con's
To be honest with ya, making a blog is pretty pointless if your just gonna privatize it. I mean the whole point of blogging is to express yourself to the world in a form of writing/ranting/rambling/babbling or whatever you fancy in calling the art of blogging. isn't it? I mean who knows, you might offer the world something different or you may have a different outlook on a certain subject that interests a certain party/individual. Well atleast that's how i see it. But if you think about it to a certain point, how many thousands if not millions of blogers are there out there. And what are the chances that your blog would be read?  if math is one of my forte's then i could derive the statistics or whatever you math lovers call it.

Pro's
But if you look at it on a different angle, privatizing your blog is a good choice. Why would they offer the service in the first place? It is also a good thing. You don't know who's reading your blog, if their delighted by your writing, then lets throw a party. But what if they are offended by it? people might sue your ass off  Let's think of the worst case scenario for a second, they might have the urge to kidnap you or even the guts to kill you.

In conclusion, privatising your blog is up to ones preferences. How stupid can that conclusion be?  Very stupid .I dabbled on this subject for hours. well 45 minutes tops. A little exaggeration never hurts. But you get my point.

Now you bore me, im off! haha joking.

It's 50. Glee and some other stuff.

Buongiorno! It means Hello in Italian.

No! im not 50 years old, it's my 50th post people! yes im that lazy to post everyday. I have nothing to talk about really.

Wait, i would like to congratulate Glee for getting the Golden Globes for the best tv series, drama/comedy this year. Pretty Amazing although i am quite thrown when Lea Michele ceded best actress in a musical or comedy, Jane Lynch lost best supporting actress, Matthew Morrison lost best actor. Fyi Lea Michele plays Rachel Berry, she' like my inspiration in that show. I can totally relate to her to some point. Jane Lynch plays Sue Sylvester and James Morrison plays Will Schuester.

So im still waiting for my results to pop out. The official website mentioned that it's coming out this coming Monday. But im not so sure about that. Seeing that we Bruneians are well known for being betabiat. So yeah well like my bestie Mu'izz frequently says "Brace yourself!". Well my fellow readers, brace yourself. I just hope and prayed that i got 8 o's. AMIN! Well to be honest with you, i don't know what to feel really. Nervous? sometimes, happy? i don't dare to, sad? it's a waste of time, depressed? gives me pimples. So guys out there who are waiting for your results, what are you feeling?

Oh yeah the last time i went to KL i bought like 10 or was it 11 books. And im currently addicted to this one book, it's part of a series, Private novels. And im reading one of them entitled CONFESSIONS. I initially bought the book for my sister, but since she's not reading it, so i sort of "tested the water" then i got warm and cozy with it. And im stuck with it since. I bought 2 of the 10 series so far. But yeah. pretty amazing really.

Okay im running out of stuff to talk about.
Arrivederci.

Hello people on the internet!

OKAY!!!  well i sound more enthusiastic than i wanted it to be. Anyways, today, well these past few days we all know that it's been raining cats and dogs. Do you remember the last time this was happening? well i don't exactly remember when. But i know what happened, there was landslides, floods, people losing their homes (adakah?) and so and so. Although i must say it was kind of fun. i mean staying at home, hearing the pitter-patter of not tiny but huge raindrops on the roof. It's always great fun isn't it? not! well  a little.

Okay so i want to talk to you about my day. Today i woke up at 7. yes seven! that's like my first time, showered at one. Well nothing much happened today. Apart for me feeling sick to the stomach right now, you wanna know why? lemme tell you why. THE RESULTS people! yes i cant stop stressing you people on how important this is for me. Im scared to death. But laughter keeps me from feeling sick and wanting to throw up every now and then. Yes laughter is the best medicine.

 Okay bye now!

Sherlock Holmes! (reviews)

Hey!

So yesterday i went to watch Sherlock Holmes at the cinema with 2 of my friend of which one of them is my best friend, Halimin oh and of course my dearest friend Jon Michael, thanks for the ticket Jon!

The movie was great, it was played by two of Hollywood's best leading men. Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law Their acting was superb and if it wasn't for the behind the scene and the internet i wouldn't even know that Jude Law played the character of  Dr Watson. His character in this movie was totally different from any other character that he ever played before. Oh and i have to give props to Robert Downey Jr. who played Sherlock Holmes, he played that character flawlessly especially the accent, if i know nothing about him i would've believed that he was  British. Oh not to forget about Rachel McAdams, she was lovely in that movie. I think thats one of the few movie that she was in that i've watched.

The first few minutes of the movie i thought that it's going to be like one of those movies where they use an entire indoor film set to film it. Because i can see that the building obviously looked fake. But as the movie progresses it became much better. Well i don't know if they use an indoor film set or whatever. Anyways lets talk about the background music, well for me there's only two words to describe it, perfectly suited. It was epic and now i want background music to be played during the epic moments of my life even more. it was excellent. Oh and I'd have to say that Guy Rithchie made and excellent director, especially the fighting scene. And i don't know who the scriptwriter was but he/she definitely nailed it, the dialogue spoken was smart and witty. I liked that.

For me the movie had it all. Comedy, romance, action, horror. Unfortunately some part of the movie made me feel a bit sleepy, it was boring!! To sum it all up, maybe there's only 15 minutes of the movie was boring. I'd have to agree with some critics though that it has far too many violence, but that's a plus for me. But i loved the movie. i thinks that's it, oh wait a minute, look who's gracing my desktop this time around?

Sherlock Holmes!!

I watched Fame last night as well, but i'll tell you what i think of that movie. on my next post.

Nocturnal+Vlog?+results

Hello i have a few things that i'd like to tell you about, 5 to be exact. I will not be long cause im off in a jiffy so i'll try to make things less complicated or long for that fact.

First of all, for the past few..i don't know, months i have been staying late at night and are officially nocturnal. Secondly, you know how much i love watching vlogs right? well i do. Their somewhat funny and people respond to them more rather than having to type shiznits and yet people just don't read them. So what im trying to say here is, should i or should i not, make a vlog?

Moving onto number 3. Today i heard that the o-level results came out in the UK i hope people in UK is reading this, congratulations to you people who passed with flying colours. And from what i've heard that if it came out in the UK it will most probably come out in Brunei anytime soon when i say soon i mean, it will come out at the end of January. I just hope that my results are excellent. I know you guys must've realized that i can;t stop talking about the results and whatnot. Well forgive me for that.

Number 4, tomorrow i am going to watch Sherlock Holmes, finally after years of waiting i finally am able to go watch that movie, well not year lah i mean weeks, days oh i don't know. I hope it's good cause i've heard the reviews are excellent. Finally this morning i went to the hospital cause i have an appointment. And guess what? since there was no pain in my jaw im perfectly fine, and all the clicking was just caused by some discs in between my jaw thingy majigy. The doctor said that, i should stay away from hard stuff and my habit of biting ice. Yes i have a habit of biting ice.

I have to go now, why? well no particular reason really.

So bye!

2:35am

Well hello there!

Im still wide awake as usual. I slept the whole afternoon. My sleeping pattern is slowly changing. Today is the first time that im actually at home for the whole day cause im not working anymore. Did i mention that currently im typing under my blanket- in the dark? Well it's really cold, it's raining outside, or should i say a torrential downpour! and don't get me started about the thunder.

You know how im crazy about glee right. well was! Since star world is starting to air it soon. I feel like i want to kick the execs on their puny little guts!! oh yes i hate them to the core. I mean glee to me use to be special cause not so many people knew about it, except for those people who knew them. It's like special, it makes me happy just by watching them sing and dance to the kinds of music i listen.  Im going to the mall this Tuesday, hopefully, fingers cross everybody. Im going to watch Sherlock Holmes, yeay!! I hope they still show them, or else i will make a scene! So then i can skidadle my ass to chocng hock and buy me disc 3. Chong hock is a dick, everytime i come to that store in hopes of finding the next installment of Glee, unfortunately they don;t have it. Damn you! Although chong hock is my 3rd favorite place to visit next to the beach and the cinema here in Brunei. what? they don't have that many interesting places to visit here in Brunei.

Oh and yes, speaking of, the results are coming soon. On February i hope. Im scared of what the outcome will be. Heck im terrified! I don;t think there are enough words in this world to describe how scared i am. I need to prepare myself, physically and mentally. I just hope that i get an excellent result and go to college, that's another story.

Okay im going to bed now, well technically im on my bed now. Okay im going to sleep.

Monday's post: Notebooks & gossips.

I created this post last Monday. But i don't know why the hell i didnt put it up, most reasonable reason i would have to say: i'm lazy! haha

As i sat in my grandad's car, on the way to work i looked out of the window and can't help but smile seeing everybody is on their way to school with their new school uniform, new bags and of course new hopes. The first day of school is fun to some but are painfully horrible to others, the first day is when you will see your friends for the first time after a month long holiday, it is also the time to unvail the new you or the much-more-mature-slash-improved-you, it's like a debut for some. You don;t get me? it's like a fresh start, for example person A's life sucks the previous year, so he/she is making a new image for themselves. Oh yeah you gotta love those little kids first day of school and their last day of freedom, yes when they go to school and their freedom is taken away from the. Kids screaming and crying. Or to those who had their psr exams the year before and now are migrating from primary school to secondary school. Meeting new people, making new interests and some even forget about their previous friends.

Enough said, so yeah the title says it all, we all go to school not for the learning, it;s the meeting your friend part is what makes learning more fun instead of a perilous ordeal. It's always the first day that we gossip non-stop, talking about our so called holiday romance, going abroad or a lovely campfire at night on the beach. One might lie to the other to make it more interesting, some even come to a point that the story told is completely fictitious.

As for me, im will not be attending school for another 2 moths or so and guess what? im sick of it! im sick of the holidays, yes! you read right, im sick of staying at home, with nothing to do, well that part i actually lied, i've been working these past 2 weeks. Unfortunately today was my last day, tomorrow, the girl who worked there will be coming back from her vacation..  But yeah, anyway umm im currently nervous, waiting for my results to come out. It's really a dauting task, just waiting, the clock ticking away and you don;t know when it might come out, when the bomb is going to blow.  Well i guess we all just have to wait. In the meantime, im out.
