How fame, glitz and glamor can benefit the society.

Hi guys,

Today i was bored to the bone, and im lazy and my face itches. I just lie down all day on my bed watching Ugly Betty on youtube. Then right this moment i was fired up and inspired to write an article, it was inspired by the Grammy's and my friends resentment with anything to do with fame, glitz and glamor.

Fame by definition is widespread reputation, esp. of a favorable character or a renown public eminence. Atleast that's what dictionary.com told me.

But im not here to talk about how i am inspired to be known and fame is practically the only thing that i count on. No! well maybe we'll talk about that some other time. But im here to talk about it at a slightly different angle hence the title.

First of all,  if we look at award shows, movie premier or any other even of the same nature there are always people working on something from the paparazzi's, to the lighting/sound technician or even the cleaners, so this can lead to increase in the demand of employment. Secondly, some celebrities like Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz, Madonna and some significant others are pure hearted humanitarians, since they are very influential they are able to raise public awareness and educate people on certain matter that is too big for a normal, non-influential people to handle, for example AIDS, earthquake in Haiti and etcetera etcetera etcetera. Finally, businesses are improved, how is this relevant? well you see when celebrities come to a restaurant they are likely to "tweet" about it and thus bringing in more customers. Who needs to pay for advertising if you have celebrities. Their the most inexpensive and reliable type of advertising.

In conclusion, fame and all that is significant to the definition of it is not all about glitz and glamor. It can benefit a community or the world as a whole. Socially that is.

I would love to ramble on and on about this, but i think you get the point. I don't think people my age are very keen in these sorts of things, their somewhat very "educational" and you have enough of that in school. It's basic economics really but with a twist of glitz and glamor.

Food for thought.
Give me what your outlook on fame? good-bad? your call.
